Activ incorporates a Person Centred Approach to supported employment to ensure our employees are empowered in decision making and choice to enable them to achieve a better life and meet their individual needs and goals.
Our site based Employee Coordinators personally work with our employees to develop Training and Support Plans focusing on an individual’s specific employment goals. A Training and Support Plan helps identify the type of work an employee is interested in undertaking, job related training and training goals, future aspirations and individualised strategies to achieve their goals. Information is also provided to employees who would like to access services related to other areas in their life, such as accommodation and social activities.
We regularly review all Training and Support Plans with our employees and other relevant people involved in the employee’s life (as nominated by the individual) to ensure we are continually providing services that meet their individualised needs and assists them to achieve a better life.
